New into DJing, picking it up as a hobby.
I purchased a vestax 37-pro and it arrived today, however, because of my inexperience, I am having a bit of trouble setting it up to my home stereo.
My problem is as follows:
I've connected my technics turntables to it, and after buying a couple of 1/4" adapters to a RCA jacks (radio shack - I know not the best) I connected it to my home stereo to the AUX plugs. However, no sound comes out of the speakers, and neither do the MASTER LED levels light up.
I've checked that the MASTER VOLUME is placed to a good level. Checked that the GAIN on the channels is set to good level. Moved the level of the channel upwards as well. And finally placed the input matrix to the correct setting for the turntable I am using. Still no sounds comes out.
I've also tried using normal RCA jacks from the REC OUT of the mixer to the AUX of my stereo. Again no sounds or LED movement.
However, sound does come out of my headphones and the LED lights of it move accordingly as the GAIN level is adjusted.
I placed other inputs to the AUX of the stereo and it works perfectly.
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong or if my unit is defective? I'd appreciate any help and apologize if this is a very basic question.
Thanks!!!
