Corey, well the most likely cause is that the tonearm lateral gimbal needs adjustment its the top screw inside a locking ring which must be adjusted first loosen the outer ring and then loosen the inner screw a bit, not too much so that there is looseness, just play with this and see how this helps, be sure to tighten the outer locking ring again and make sure that the inner does not tighten along with it if it does not help let me know thanks www.turntabletech.com

I have this exact problem. The tonearm does not sit over the platter. It just springs back into the tonearm rest. I have the same "springy feeling". I havent tried the solution posted above, but I know how the problem was caused. Basically, my TT was dropped to the floor last week at the end of a gig. Please, everyone make sure that your equipment is FULLY LOCKED in their cases before attempting to transport them.
Ill try the solution above and return with my results.

Hey
I have the same problem and I'm glad to hear that it can be fixed! Can you be a little more specific in your instructions? Where is the top screw for the lateral gimbal? I'm googling it, but I can't come up with anything. Thanks!
