Hope you can help! On the end of my tonarm, for a Vestax PDX-2000, my cartridge is not making contact with one of the four gold pins that are all spring loaded. It seems like the spring on one of them has failed. I was thinking it could be due to the sea air, many things in my house have been affected. Any ideas? I have tried long nosed pliers, quick drying contact spray to loosen the spring, tweezers, gravity!! Also, the screw below the tonarm to cartridge securing ring seems to have no purpose, i loosed it and it wouldnt allow any extra movement, or even let me remove the end to reset the spring loaded pins. Your compnay was the first to come up on the web when i searched for "tonearm repair", so I thought i would give you guys a quick quiz! By the way, there will probably be smart remarks from technics users, saying "hey, if you used SL's, this wouldnt happen", but please try and be objective. I owned SL1200's for 14 years already, the problem is with the particular turntable tonearm, not with the choice of equipment! Any southern cali repair centers would be cool to know of as well. It all good here
I am glad to see that nobody has given you a hard time about your choice to use VESTAX
Anyway......Yes I have had many complaints about the Vestax Tonearm - Cartridge connector.....I can hook you up with a replacement from a Technics 1200 and this will fix you up
hit me up anytime
thanks

Maybe? You would have to swap the entire Tonearm Base Assembly not just the toneam tube as the Vestax is a larger diameter than the Technics www.turntabletech.com
