Hello,
I have two 1200's with European pins on the power supply cords. These also have a built-in voltage adapter (110/220v) whose switch is under the slipmat.
I have accidentally plugged one of them in here in the UK, and blown the motor. This is the second time I have done this. I am also learning about how to cross the street and look both ways this week. Thing is, the first time I did it it cost me £200, and the repair guy said he was replacing the whole motor, which I had blown.
But I have been thinking (which hurts), and in the design of the turnatables there must be a fuse which would blow before the motor would, and I think the repair guy MAY have ripped me off. Can anyone confirm or deny this? If anyone can direct me to any information on where to get a fuse if there is one, and how to change it, I would really appreciate it.
thanks
Adam

Hi Sorrry I just dont have time to answer all your ?'s But yes Im afraid that you probably got ripped off If you had your voltage selector set to 110V and plugged it into 220V i fairly certain that you would have just blown a fuse, maybe at the most the main power regulator , but definitley not the "Motor" you can check your fuse by removing the platter and the plastic motor cover and you will notice the two fuses on the left If you need one or both let me know thanks and sorry about your troubles www.turntabletech.com
